KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It's the season of growing and strawberries are ready to be picked.
Benny's Berriesis located in south Kansas City. The patch is in its second year of operation.
When the patch is open, dozens of people line the rows to pick the red, ripe berries.
Farmer Kyle Taylor said that the strawberries are usually ripe in April. Due to winter’s extended stay, the field opened mid-May.
