Residents in the Kansas City metro area can recycle their holiday trees, wreaths and garlands at several curbside pickup or drop-off locations.
Holiday trees and greenery is banned from landfills in Missouri. Kansas landfills discourage them. Area communities are offering residents several ways to recycle natural decorations for good use -- trail surface, landscaping and fish habitat in local lakes.
