Around this time, many people end up giving up on their New Year’s health resolutions. Juicing or cleansing is one way to give our bodies a fresh start or “reboot.”
For Motivation Monday, Jane Monreal talked with Chris Goode, owner of Ruby Jean’s Juicery in Wesport. He explains how a juice cleanse helps you eliminate toxins, provide more energy, and lose weight.

Goode advises to ease into and out of a cleanse by eating raw and healthy foods.

Some side effects are possible like headaches or dizziness, because the body is detoxing.
Ideally, he says a 5-day cleanse is a good amount of time, although you can do a 1-day cleanse or even juice for 14 days or more.
It is recommended to have seven to 10 servings of fruits and veggies a day. Ruby Jean's fresh cold pressed juices have no sugar and retain all the nutrients and important enzymes that our bodies absorb immediately.
