Talk about some awesome workout buddies for my Workout Wednesday segment!
I met some players with KC Soul, a men's basketball team, and we had quite the workout.
I learned some basketball techniques and taught them a thing or two about screaming on defense when the opposing team is headed your way!
KC Soul is scheduled to play its inaugural game on Saturday, October 29, at the Truman Memorial Building, 416 W. Maple Street, in Independence, Missouri.
Head Coach Tim Simpson is ready to play.
"We are very excited, and I think Kansas City is going to like our style of basketball," said Simpson.
KC Soul is the premier minor league basketball team located in the metropolitan area of Kansas City. The team is a key member of the ABA.
I was honored to have the players on 41 Action News Midday, and I had a blast working out with them for my Workout Wednesday segment. I wish the team and managers and coaches a successful year.
Tickets for the KC Soul game are still available. The cost is $10 for adults.
