If you're looking for the motivation and means to accomplish your new year's goals, Marquita Miller is one of the best people to turn to for advice.

She's hosting the No More Excuses Only Results event  on Friday, January 8, 7p.m. at The View Event Center , 4000 N. Mulberry Dr., in Kansas City, Missouri.

Miller is the founder and CEO of Five Star Tax and Business Solutions – a full service accounting firm in Kansas City, Missouri.

A small business expert contributor on local television morning show & national magazine publication.

Miller is a published author, business strategist, empowerment speaker and well known advocate for entrepreneurship.

She is also a recipient of Woman Who Means Business and Kansas City’s Influential Woman award,  www.marquitamiller.com.

Her road to success has given her insights about achieving results and she travels the country empowering people to realize their dreams.

Miller explained that it's important to realize that fear may be stopping you from taking the first step to achieve their goals.

"So often people don't even begin because they're afraid that they will not be successful," said Miller.

She explained that people should see the small steps they take to achieve their goals--as success and not just the overall goal to finally start a business or lose weight.

Miller also talked about the importance of making a plan and writing your goals and specific things you will need to achieve them.

"Every year at the No More Excuses Only Results event, someone is recognized for their contributions to the community. I am humbled and honored that I will be this year's recipient of the Helping Hands Award," said Miller.
