Posted

Barney Allis Plaza Fountain is located on the north end of the Barney Allis Plaza, near the Kansas City Convention Center.

It was added in 1985 during a park redesign project.

The fountain and park are named after Barney Allis, a well-known citizen and manager of the historic Muehlebach Hotel.

The fountain runs nearly a block long.

112 jets shoot water several feet high onto granite steps. Computer-assisted programing changes the colors and height of the water.
