The Henry Wollman Bloch fountain sits on Pershing and Main Streets, between Union Station and the Liberty Memorial, in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
The fountain was a gift from Henry Wollman Bloch, the co-founder of H&R Block, Inc.
Bloch and his brother Richard founded H&R Block in Kansas City, Missouri in 1955.
The fountain has a black granite surface covered with a thin layer of water that reflects the KC monuments around it.
The fountain has 232 jets that are choreographed by a computer.
On each hour and half-hour, a five-minute water show begins.
The fountain was designed by WET Design, which also designed the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas.
