OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Sprint and T-Mobile have had drama some in their relationship, but reports say they may be back together.
Reuters reported late Thursday the two telecommunications giants recently resumed merger talks and have made “progress.”
The report said a deal could be announced as early as next week.
The talks have been on-again, off-again since 2014.
Reports that the two companies are near a deal aren’t new. In September 2017, several media reports indicated the pair planned to merge.
But just two months later, the two sides seemed to cut ties.
Neither company has commented publicly about the renewed merger speculation.
