The Shawnee Mission School District is informing families in the district about cucumbers it may have served that were included in a recent recall over concerns about Salmonella.
US Foods, one of the vendors that provides cucumbers to the district, was included in the recall.
The district said some cucumbers may have been served in some of the district's schools prior to the recall being announced.
In a statement, the school district says it is following all guidelines for eliminating any remaining cucumbers it has from the vendor.
