INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — On Tuesday, a one-stop- shop will offer resources and assistance for flood victims at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri.
Even though floodwaters have receded in Levasy, Missouri, the amount of damage and cleanup there is extensive, as it is in many other areas of the state.
The multi-resource agency center will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Representatives from state government, nonprofits, and disaster relief groups will all be present.
There is also a flood help line for victims which can be reached at (314) 516-2769. The line is open 24/7.
Anyone seeking assistance Tuesday should bring a form of identification along with address verification. Some groups will require these form in order to provide assistance.
