KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Harrisonville nursing home said Tuesday that four additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Meadow View Health and Rehabilitation now has 14 residents who have tested positive for the virus. Two have been hospitalized, while the other 12 remain in isolation at the facility.

Additionally, two employees who tested positive are quarantining in their homes, the facility said in a news release.

At Meadow View Health, three patients have died from the virus, including a hospice patient in her 80s.

An additional 13 people connected to the facility, including 11 residents and two staff members, have tested negative.

“We are fostering as much communication as possible between our staff, our residents and their families during this difficult time when in-person visits are not allowed,” said Craig Workman, spokesperson for Meadow View Health and Rehabilitation. “We are using staff cellphones to help connect those residents without phones to their families, and residents are still receiving mail. We are also exploring additional methods, technologies and activity projects to better connect residents with families.”
