KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three inmates at the Jackson County Detention Center have tested positive for COVID-19, county officials said Monday.

All three inmates, who did not show any symptoms of the disease, have been in isolation since last week, according to the county.

One non-inmate also has tested positive, but the sheriff's department will not identify the rank or position of that person.

Jail officials are working to identify any other inmates or staff who came into contact with the three inmates.
