KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Four RideKC bus operators tested positive for COVID-19 after driving various routes earlier this month.
RideKC said Tuesday the four bus operators drove on eight days between Aug. 7-18 on different routes in the Kansas City metro.
Before the new positive cases, a bus operator had not tested positive for the virus since April, when one case was confirmed.
"Join us in keeping everyone safe: Wear your mask – it’s required," RideKC said in a tweet on Tuesday.
RideKC has confirmed a total of four positive COVID-19 test results for bus operators who drove between Aug. 7 and 18. Details are at https://t.co/6tDkMZMdS5.

RideKC said it has taken several steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including a mask requirement while on board and at bus stops; Plexiglass shields for operators; and suspended fares to reduce interaction between customers and drivers.
