5 KCPD members test positive for COVID-19

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three Kansas City, Missouri, Police officers and two civilian employees have tested positive for COVID-19, the department said Monday.

A police spokesperson said the three officers are assigned to the patrol bureau.

An additional 25 KCPD members are in various stages of quarantine.

The spokesperson said the department’s staffing levels continue to allow the department to respond to calls for service.
