AdventHealth Shawnee Mission vaccinates 1,500 employees

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Frontline health care workers in the Kansas City metro continue to receive Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

As of Friday, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission had vaccinated 1,500 of its employees.

The first employee to be vaccinated was Dr. Sara Cross, an emergency department physician who has been working on the frontlines since the beginning of the pandemic.

The hospital on Wednesday received 1,900 doses of the vaccine.

On Monday, Sarah Kiehl, a nurse at Truman Medical Center, became the first Kansas Citian to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
