KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The American Royals made the decision to cancel the 2020 Pro Rodeo due to COVID-19.
The event was scheduled for Sept. 25-26 in Kansas City.
"The health and safety of Kansas City is our top priority and after exploring all possible options to make the rodeo safe and financially responsible for our not-for-profit organization, the American Royal team has determined holding the Pro Rodeo this year is not viable," the organization said in a press release.
They hope to welcome fans back to the Pro Rodeo in 2021. That event is scheduled for Sept. 24-25.
