KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their list of COVID-19 symptoms, adding six more to the list.
The CDC initially listed fever, cough and shortness of breath. Now, the CDC says you should also look out for:
* Chills
* Repeated shaking with chills
* Muscle pain
* Headache
* Sore throat
* New loss of taste or smell.
It's recommended that you seek medical attention immediately for the following symptoms:
* Trouble breathing
* Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
* New confusion or inability to arouse
* Bluish lips or face
The CDC also says this list is not all inclusive and you should consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you.
Call 911 if you have a medical emergency. Be sure to alert the operator that you have or think you might have COVID-19, then put a cloth face covering on before help arrives.
