KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A musical instrument distribution center has closed down, after remaining open despite a stay-at-home order.

Guitar Center Distribution Center in the Northland was continuing to operate after Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas issued a stay-at-home order that started on March 24. The order allows for only essential businesses to remain open and is intended to slow the spread of coronavirus.

The warehouse closed after city enforcement staff went out and informed the business that it was not in compliance. The city said they advised the person to shut down and begin vacating the property.

The business is now closed and in compliance with the mayor's stay-at-home order.
