KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The newly minted T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, will host its first event next month since the pandemic shut down live entertainment last spring.
Disney on Ice presents "Dream Big" will be held from Jan. 28 through Feb. 7. It will be the first public event held at the venue, formerly known as the Sprint Center, since the beginning of the pandemic in March.
According to details on the event website, seats will be sold in “pods” of up to eight people. All pod groups will be socially distanced, and seating capacity will be reduced as a result. Everyone over the age of 2 must wear a mask.
Shani Tate, a spokesperson for the T-Mobile Center, said capacity will be capped at 20% and the pod groups will be spaced 8 feet apart. Other social distancing measures will be in place throughout the venue.
Plenty of favorite Disney characters — including Mickey and Minnie Mouse and stars from “Frozen,” “Moana” and “Beauty and the Beast,” among others — will be part of the “Dream Big” show.
Tickets start at $20 per seat and are on sale now at disneyonice.com or at t-mobilecenter.com.
