KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Schools across the Kansas City metro will be closed for the next few weeks under direction from local governments in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Here are the schools that will be closed in the metro through Friday, April 3. Classes will not resume at these schools until April 6 at the earliest:

  • Blue Springs School District
  • Blue Valley Schools
  • Center School District
  • Excelsior Springs Schools
  • Fort Osage Schools
  • Gardner Edgerton School District USD 231
  • Grain Valley Schools
  • Grandview C-4 School District
  • Hickman Mills School District
  • Independence School District
  • Kearney School District
  • Kansas City (Missouri) Public Schools
  • Lee's Summit R-7 School District
  • Liberty Public Schools
  • North Kansas City Schools
  • North Platte R-1
  • Olathe Public Schools
  • Park Hill Schools
  • Platte County R-3
  • Raytown C-2 School District
  • Raymore-Peculiar School District
  • Shawnee Mission School District
