KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Schools across the Kansas City metro will be closed for the next few weeks under direction from local governments in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Here are the schools that will be closed in the metro through Friday, April 3. Classes will not resume at these schools until April 6 at the earliest:

- Excelsior Springs Schools
- Fort Osage Schools
- Gardner Edgerton School District USD 231
- Grain Valley Schools
- Grandview C-4 School District
- Hickman Mills School District
- Independence School District
- Kearney School District
- Kansas City (Missouri) Public Schools
- Lee's Summit R-7 School District
- Liberty Public Schools
- North Kansas City Schools
- North Platte R-1
- Olathe Public Schools
- Park Hill Schools
- Platte County R-3
- Raytown C-2 School District
- Raymore-Peculiar School District
- Shawnee Mission School District
- Smithville School District
- Spring Hill School District
- Unified School District No. 232
