KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Grain Valley Police Department will only respond in-person for emergencies.
The change in service went into effect Monday night, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
“All other calls and reports where a suspect is no longer present and there is no imminent threat to personal safety will be handled by telephone,” the department said in the post.
Police asked residents to report incidents over the phone and not in person.
