KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals will start offering credits to fans who purchased tickets for games scheduled between April 2 and May 6.

The credits will go on their accounts for a future game, along with an additional 5% bonus of what they spent. This includes season ticket holders, group sales and those with suites.

For fans who purchased single-game tickets, the buyer will also get the credit, the 5% bonus and 20% off a single-game ticket for the 2021 season.

A spokesman for the Kansas City Royals, Toby Cook, told 41 Action News the credit will be good for the remainder of this year and for next year, but only during the regular season.

The Royals say decisions will be made on whether more games will be impacted as the pandemic continues. No games have been canceled yet with Major League Baseball, but the organization is still deciding when to start play.
