KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas farmer is the talk of New York after making a selfless donation to frontline workers.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo shared a letter he received from a northeast Kansas farmer identified as "Dennis."
According to the letter, Dennis is older and his wife is ill.
I received this letter from a farmer in northeast Kansas. His wife is ill and he is aging.
He sent me 1 of 5 N95 masks he has from farming to pass on to a doctor or nurse in New York.
This is humanity at its best. I share his letter as inspiration. pic.twitter.com/Fa4h5LH9rL

Despite the couple's increased risk for contracting COVID-19, they sent one of the five N95 masks they own to New York to help a doctor or nurse fighting the virus on the front lines.
In a tweet, Cuomo said, "This is humanity at its best. I share his letter as inspiration."
During her daily news conference, Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said the actions by the farmer were priceless.
“Who better than a Kansan to do something like that,” Kelly said, adding that she had left the person a message and was looking forward to being in touch.
