KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, City Hall will be closed Friday “for a major deep cleaning” in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The “electrostatic cleaning” will use a sanitizing spray to clean germs on surfaces, city officials said in a news release on Thursday.

No one will be allowed in the building, located at 414 E. 12 St., between 6 a.m. and noon on Friday, the city said.

In response to Mayor Quinton Lucas’ emergency order to limit gatherings to 10 people or less, the city has worked to limit foot traffic at City Hall and other city facilities.

City Planning and Development offices are not open to the public until further notice.
