Lansing approves mask ordinance beginning Friday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Beginning Friday, masks will be required in public spaces in Lansing, Kansas.

The mask ordinance will remain in effect through Jan. 31, 2021, to try and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Public spaces include indoor spaces and outdoor spaces where social distancing can't happen.

The ordinance was approved by the Lansing City Council on Tuesday.

Violations of the mask order will be met with a small fine, increasing each time it is violated.
