KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An employee at the Leavenworth VA Medical Center tested positive for COVID-19, according to a release.
The positive test result was announced to hospital leadership on Sunday.
The employee is following medical professional and CDC instructions to prevent further spread.
Medical center leadership said the potential for spread to other staff or patients is low.
It is not clear what part of the hospital the employee worked in or how they contracted the virus.
