Live blog: Missouri reports more than 4,100 COVID-19 cases

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread across the world, and in Missouri and Kansas.

41 Action News is keeping track of all closings and cancellations, as well as tracking where positive coronavirus cases are located.

We are also keeping track of which metro jurisdictions are under stay at home orders for the foreseeable future, only allowing for essential business and activities.

Updates on the spread of the virus and how it is affecting the metro can be found below for April 12.

2:45 p.m. | Missouri counties have reported more than 4,100 COVID-19 cases in the state and 110 deaths.

Riverbend Post Acute Rehabilitation in Kansas City, Kansas, also reported in tweet that as of 2 p.m. there have been 12 COVID-19 deaths stemming from cases at the facility. Ninety residents and 20 staff members have tested positive, and five residents are hospitalized.

12:25 pm | Johnson County, Kansas has one new death and 21 new positive COVID-19 cases. According to the KDHE, that puts the county at 14 deaths and 304 cases. Jackson County, Mo. is reporting 225 postive COVID-19 cases.

12:10 pm | KDHE is reporting one new death from COVID-19 and 57 new positive cases throughout the state.

11:51 a.m. | The Kansas Department of Health and Environment hotline is closed today in observance of the Easter holiday. Services will resume 8:30 am on Monday.

9:45 a.m. | The Leavenworth County, KS Health Department is reporting five more positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total up to 80 cases.
