1:05 p.m. | There are now a total of 60 positive cases of COVID-19 in Douglas County, Kansas, up from 59. The Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health reports 52 of those cases have recovered.

1:00 p.m. | Ford Motor Company announced on Saturday that it will provide COVID-19 testing for symptomatic employees at four locations, including Kansas City. Employees will be tested at a drive-through site at Liberty Hospital, with a goal to have the test results back within 24 hours.

7:00 a.m. |Governor Kelly issued a new executive order on Friday, extending temporary relief for motor carriers from certain rules and regulations. The order lifts certain weight restrictions and permitting requirements to allow needed medical supplies, food shipments and other items to travel quickly through the state. It only applies to motor carriers actively participating in COVID-19 response effort.
This executive order is an extension of measures put in place earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These rules will be in place until rescinded, on June 15, 2020, or until statewide State of Disaster Emergency expires, whichever is earlier.
