Live blog: St. Joe State Park to open off-road area on Monday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread across the world, and in Missouri and Kansas.

Updates on the spread of the virus and how it is affecting the metro can be found below for May 17:

4:05 p.m. | The off-road riding area at St. Joe State Park reopens on Monday. Visitors are required to purchase same-day permits online. More information can be found on the Missouri State Parks website.

12:00 p.m. | Starting tomorrow, Monday, May 18, Uber will require all users to wear a face mask or cover. Riders will have to take a selfie with the mask on before the driver can accept a trip. Drivers will also be allowed to cancel a trip if they don't feel safe, including if a user is not wearing a mask or face cover.
There will also be rider limits in the vehicle to allow for social distancing.
