KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to spread across the world, and in Missouri and Kansas.
41 Action News is keeping track of all closings and cancellations, as well as tracking where positive coronavirus cases are located.
We are also keeping track of which metro jurisdictions are under stay at home orders for the foreseeable future, only allowing for essential business and activities.

Updates on the spread of the virus and how it is affecting the metro can be found below for May 9.
3:05 p.m. | In-person services will resume on Monday in three government businesses in Johnson County, according to a news release. The County Administration Building in Olathe, the northeast offices in Mission and the Olathe Motor Vehicle Office are expected to open the "buildings and front counters" to the public," the release stated.

2:00 p.m. | Kansas Department of Health is now reporting 6,718 positive cases of COVID-19 and 162 deaths. That total includes 53 additional cases in Wyandotte County, three more in Leavenworth County, seven more in Johnson County, and one more in Miami County.

7:30 am | Della Lamb Community Services are teaming up with Truman Medical Center to provide COVID-19 testing this morning. These tests are open to anyone with a valid ID or phone number who is showing one or more symptoms. It starts at 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 1615 Independence Ave. All interested persons are urged to register by calling (816) 404-2273.
