Mid-Continent Public Library to require face masks beginning Monday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mid-Continent Public Library will require patrons and staff to wear face masks or coverings beginning on Monday.

MCPL is “following the guidelines” issued on Friday by the Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department, according to a news release.

Library services, the release stated, currently are “limited to the use of public computers, in-branch Wi-Fi, copiers, fax machines and printers.”

Visits are limited to no more than 90 minutes.

The Boardwalk Branch still is closed due to “potential” COVID-19 exposurebetween June 16 and 23.
