KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas' latest case of COVID-19 in Kansas was found in Ford County, officials confirmed Tuesday morning.

The person infected with a confirmed infection is over 60 years old and traveled into Ford County. The individual and their family is currently under quarantine.

That person is not actually a resident of Kansas, so the total is not counted in the official state statistics.

It is the first identified case of the virus in Ford County.

There are also cases in Johnson, Wyandotte, Butler and Franklin counties.

This is a developing story.
