KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Olathe Police Department is implementing temporary changes in protocol due to COVID-19, it announced Wednesday.
For non-emergency calls, the department said, officers will make contact via a phone call. They will also take reports over the phone.
The department said the change is to help limit exposure to the novel coronavirues.
Olathe PD will evaluate "reasonable responses," it said.
