KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Olathe School District announced Tuesday that middle and high school students who selected hybrid learning options will be able to return to in-person learning later this month.
In a letter to district stakeholders, Superintendent John Allison says the district, using gating criteria from the Johnson County, Kansas, Department of Health and Environment, is now in a yellow zone.
The new designation allows middle and high school students who selected hybrid learning at the beginning of the year to return to in-person learning on Monday, Oct. 19.
Elementary school students have been in — and will remain in — full-time, in-person learning.
Alison says the district will review its place in the gating criteria again on Nov. 9.
