KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Members of the Overland Park Fire Department celebrated the recovery of one of their own Wednesday.
A department spokesperson said the employee was discharged from AdventHealth on Wednesday after successfully being treated for COVID-19.
News of the employee’s positive test first came on March 26.
On Wednesday, dozens of health care workers lined the entryway to the hospital to wish the employee well.
The employee is back at home and recovering with family.
