KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One local restaurant is using “dated technology” to create a social-distancing approved experience for its customers.

Fireside Bar & Grill in Overland Park has started holding “Car-Antined Drive-In” shows, in which customers park in every other parking space, tune their radios to a specific station and can listen to a live concert being performed at the establishment.

Carhops bring a single-use menu to customers, who then call in their order and listen to the music while they wait for their food.

Fireside BBQ Owner Mike Perz said the response has been incredible.

"People are asking us to do it more often... We’re trying to space it out you know to make sure it doesn’t lose it flair and flavor," Perz said.

CB Wry performed on Sunday.
