KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Public Library is closing its Southeast Branch due to possible COVID-19 exposure.
According to a spokesperson with the library, a patron who visiting the Swope Parkway branch on Thursday, December 10, is showing symptoms of the virus and is presumed positive.
The library has already notified employees, and will reach out to anyone who visited that day. A cleaning crew is sanitizing the space.
The branch will reopen when the library completes contract tracing and cleaning, and can ensure adequate staffing.
Free WIFI will still be available outside of all of its locations.
Kids Café services are suspended at the Southeast branch but remain available at the Bluford and Waldo locations.
