KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Some students in the Raytown School District will return to in-person learning later this month.
The district's board of education voted Monday night to bring all pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students back into the classroom on Oct. 26.
The Herdon Center will return on a 50% schedule, with students attending classes in-person twice per week. All Raytown Success Academy Elementary School students are expected to be back in schools.
Students who currently are enrolled in virtual learning have the option to continue to do so.
Weekly building-level safety meetings will include all staff.
The board also voted, 4-3, to not let secondary students stay in a virtual setting for the rest of the semester.
An emergency board of education meeting will be held on Oct. 19 to discuss secondary school schedules.
