KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals announced Saturday that catcher Salvador Perez was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Perez told news outlets about the diagnosis during noon Zoom call.

The catcher said he is asymptomatic and has 12 days left in quarantine.
He went on to say that he feels normal and can play fine.
"Wear your mask. You never know where you can get it," Perez said during the call.
