NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In a way, restaurants are able to stay open through take-out orders. But, when it comes to movie theaters, there is not much they can do.

Screenland Armour is a local theater in North Kansas City. To help their business during the pandemic, they're holding an almost 13-hour online fundraiser to raise money. It's called, "Save Our Screens".

Starting at 10 a.m. and going until 10:59 p.m., people will be able to watch a variety of shows and performances. From cartoons to live yoga to live bands, the theater hopes it will help raise money to save the screens.

"We are just asking if you can donate to donate, to donate. There will be a donate button underneath the video and the money is going to ensure that we can open when it is safe to do so," said Adam Roberts, co-owner of the theater.
