KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley has tested negative for the coronavirus.
Hawley said in a tweet Saturday night he was "pleased to report" the negative result and that he was praying for President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and "every American who is battling this virus."

Donald Trump announced late Thursday night that he and Melania had tested positive for the virus. He currently is receiving medical care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Hawley was among those who attended the Supreme Court nominee announcement last weekend at the White House Rose Garden.
At least eight attendees from the event have contracted COVID-19.
