KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the number of COVID-19 cases mount across Kansas City, area school districts are monitoring to see if they need to make adjustments to their modes of learning.
On Thursday, the Spring Hill, Kansas, School District announced on its website that current COVID-19 trends continue, and if they follow existing gating criteria, secondary school students would move to remote learning on Nov. 16.
A review of the latest data is planned by the Board of Education on Nov. 11.
The district uses school gating criteria outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention using data from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The current criteria puts the district in the yellow zone.
