KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The T-Mobile Center canceled a scheduled “Disney on Ice: Dream Big” performance Thursday night.
No explanation for the cancellation was provided in the announcement on the downtown arena’s website.
While the 7 p.m. performance Thursday night won’t take place, the T-Mobile Center said that “all remaining performances of Disney On Ice will take place as currently scheduled.”
Anyone with tickets to the canceled event “will automatically receive refunds via their original point of purchase.” Some tickets may be available for remaining shows, which continue through Sunday.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding. We look forward to delivering the same magical experience you and your family have come to expect from Disney on Ice,” the T-Mobile Center said in a statement.
“Disney on Ice” is among the first major spectator events to return amid the COVID-19 pandemic in Kansas City.
The original 11-day, 15-show slate was announced in December and received approval last month from the Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department.
