KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In a show of appreciation, Starlight Theatre lit its towers in Swope Park blue to honor the essential workers in the Kansas City area during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a video, Starlight thanks essential workers for their bravery “now more than ever.”

The video goes on to say, “The sacrifice of your own safety makes you true heroes.”

On March 24, Starlight Theatre shut down its offices and facilities in response to the city’s stay-at-home order.

“Our Starlight team will continue to serve you from home, and, as we work with our touring concert artists and Broadway shows, we will update our website and ticketholders as information becomes available,” Starlight President and CEO Rich Baker said.
