KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Three Wyandotte County organizations recently launched Keep WYCO Well, a public campaign that invites businesses and individuals to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
It's a partnership between the Kansas City, Kansas, Chamber of Commerce; the Kansas City, Kansas, Convention and Visitors Bureau; and the Wyandotte Economic Development Council.
The campaign aims to highlight businesses and people who are following safety guidelines set forth by the county health department.
"What we don't want is for the community to regress into a more restrictive phase. We want to get to that green zone where business are open," Daniel Silva, president of the chamber, said. "We can only get there until we minimize the spread of COVID."
Businesses that want to make a pledge can go to the Keep WYCO Well website and sign up.
"We want people to be cautious, but also confident," Silva said. "If we know we're all looking out for each other and helping to keep WYCO well, we will get out of this a lot sooner."
