KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Gunfire killed one man Monday afternoon in east Kansas City, Missouri.
The shooting happened shortly before 3:45 p.m. near east 31st Street and Van Brunt Boulevard.
Police identified the shooting victim as Aaron Looney, 41.
Officers found Looney on the side of the road with critical injuries.
He was taken to a hospital, but died a short time later.
No word on what led to the shooting.
