KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person died in a shooting late Monday night in south Kansas City, Missouri, police said.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. in the 8400 block of Drury Circle.
Officers responded to the scene and found a man in front of a residence who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police then went inside the residence and found another man suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
The other victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
No word on what led to the violence.
The shooting marked the city's 102nd homicide in KCMO in 2024.
