Man found shot to death in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A man was shot to death early Thursday morning in Kansas City, Kansas, according to police.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 300 block of North 70th Terrace, police said in a news release.

Officers found a man, later identified as 31-year-old Donnell C. Preston, who had been shot. A Honda car key was found next to him.

KCK Police Chief Terry Zeigler said the key belonged to a 2019 vehicle that had been stolen from Legends Honda.

Officers found the car, with multiple bullet holes, in a nearby parking lot.
