KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a shooting just after noon Sunday in the 3500 block of Garfield Avenue.

Upon arrival, Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department officers found a man on the front porch of a residence with gunshot wounds.

The victim was later identified as Warner Trotter, 41.

Trotter was then taken to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.

A subject of interest was taken into custody by police at the scene. No other suspects are believed to be involved.

KCMO police say early investigation concludes there was a dispute between neighbors that led to the shooting.
