KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman died from injuries in a shooting early Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri.
The incident took place near east U.S. 71 Highway and Interstate 35.
At around 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the highway on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they located the woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where she later died.
Police didn't immediately have any information on what led to the shooting.
The 2G exit on I-35 northbound at I-70 was closed for a few hours.
